I just got one of these and assembled it quickly and simply in a steel case with a 500VA (35v-0-35v) toroid transformer and the Connex softstart module and it sounds GREAT.
It runs very cool, measures about 11W of power when quiet. It has improved the bass sound of my speakers and I can hear more clarity and detail in the high end when playing bass heavy passages compared to my old amp (an also very good ART SLA-1).
Also quiet, only a faint white noise when I have my ears right up close to my waveguides, inaudible away from the speakers.
